Sweatshirts may or may not have a hood. A sweatshirt with a hood is now usually referred to as a hoodie, although more formal media still use the term "hooded sweatshirt". The best fabric for hoodies is flexible and comfortable to wear. Fabrics like fleece, jersey knits, and sweatshirt fabric are ideal for loose-fitting hoodies. They are warm and allow freedom of movement. For a more slimline look, try a double knit, cotton lycra, or rayon.
